Today officially marks six of the absolute BEST months of my life.
Becoming a mommy changes SO many things...priorities completely change. Over the last six months, I have become accustomed to much less sleep, fewer complete meals, changes in routines, etc., etc. All of these changes have just become a new normal for me. For us.
Something I can't seem to become accustomed to? The love that I have for Carsyn. It grows exponentially every single day...there's no stopping it. I don't even have the words to explain it...I can't imagine that any mother can find the words.
For the record...
Carsyn has been sitting since 5 months.
At 6 months, she is getting herself in the crawling position. Oh my...
Sometimes, we think she is trying to start flipping before she does anything else :) Kinda hard to snap a picture in some of the positions that she gets herself in!
We've been working on her split!
David and I are pretty positive that she said "Mama" this past weekend and again today!
She has learned to wave but would rather wave to herself and watch her hand than to wave at someone else.
Her reflux seems to be getting better...thank the Lord!
She loves her some carrots, squash and sweet potatoes! She knows when you take her clothes off what is about to happen! To the Bumbo chair we go for some groceries :) We will be trying some new stuff soon...can't wait to see how that goes!
She lights up when she catches sight of her daddy :)
She is SO strong! She lays flat on her back and with absolutely no support from her arms, she will pull herself up to the sitting position. That's hard! Try it! Put your hands in front of you, lay flat down, leave your feet on the floor and sit straight up. She's gonna have to come teach my gymnasts some lessons!
She loves watching her Praise Baby videos...they are life-savers at times!
She still loves bath time and has decided, now, that she would like to sit up in the tub...no infant or toddler tub, no more laying down in the tub...just sit her up! Not the easiest job by any means!
She is still in 3 month and some 3-6 month clothes and Size 1 diapers.
Her favorite toys are an empty water bottle, a random little blue ring that hangs off of the gym mat that she used to play on, my blackberry case and, of course, the phone!
She never ceases to amaze me. It's something new every day. I never know what to expect! I don't know what we ever did without her. We are truly head-over-heals in love with this precious blessing from God...what more can I say? Our lives have been filled with more joy and love and excitement than we could have ever imagined! We are honored to have been chosen as her parents :) Thank you, Lord.
We go for our 6-month check up tomorrow, so I will update with statistics later :)
