Fun Fall Weekend #1

Our free Saturdays in October were full of lots of fun! We had Dylan, Daniel and Kaylee one of the weekends so we planned to carve pumpkins with all of them and go to the corn maze Sunday after church. On Saturday, Carsyn and I went ahead and took care of putting a few decorations out on the porch. She LOVES her "taretows!" She goes out to check on them most morning to make sure they haven't blown away :) (Of course, they are known as Harper and Levi)

Meet Harper

Meet Levi

A little while later, we get a knock on the door and it's Pop Pop wanting to know if he can borrow the 4-wheeler. Of course! Later, we look out the door to see this :)

This thing = happy kids (and lots of funny stories!)

Later in the afternoon, we gathered up for some pumpkin carving!

All of the kids picked out their pumpkins and Aunt Vicki cut the "hats" off. Carsyn decided she would just supervise and eat her chips to begin with...

All hats off! Dig in!

(I really don't like this part...glad we had Vicki who does!)

I just really like this picture. Most of you can figure out why. I just thought the sun was "in the way" of the camera. But actually, it was in the perfect spot.

Getting some help with carving!

Drawing his many faces on his pumpkin

With a little help from ZiZi

All done!

"Ook mama! All da dirls singing!"

Then...we thought we would take the opportunity for a little photo shoot. Well, needless to say, it turned out more like something out of a "silly face photobooth" shoot. Oh well.

After supper, we ended the evening roasting marshmallows and making smores in the company of all of our pumpkins :)

Up next: Our trip to the Corn Maze!
