At 2 and a Half...

...we love to paint our "pingernails!"

...we say our blessings like this: "Tank you, Dod, por da pood. Amen."

...we will be singing Jingle Bells until July, I'm sure. "Dingle bells, dingle all waaaay. Oh what pun ide on      horrrrusss!" (that would be oh what fun to ride on a horse...I just can't bring myself to make her change it...)

...we buckle up and unbuckle up in our carseat, tubber up and untubber up in the bed

...she still has her little bed down on the floor beside our bed and I don't see that changing in the near future

...she potty trained herself at the beginning of December. Seriously. Just woke up and said she wanted her panties and to go tee tee and that was it. Done.

...we know how to count "1,2,3" but, evidently, it just isn't as fun as "un, por, six." So, that's typically how we count to 3 :)

Her Sunday morning choosings :)

...she refuses to go to bed without her "jammies" on. She's completely OCD about this. And jammies are jammies. There are no substitutes. She will not wear a t-shirt to bed or anything that is not a piece of a pair of pajamas. If I give her a t-shirt and say, "let's just wear this to bed tonight." She says, "Dat not jammy shirt, siddy doose!!!" Sometimes, she will fall asleep in the car and I lay her down in whatever she is wearing. If she wakes up in the middle of the night or when she wakes up the next morning, we have to change into her jammies right then.

"I edy for my party. Hooway!"

...she doesn't like for my hair to fall half way out of my ponytail. It upsets her. Weird, I know. I just fix it and all is well.

...she loves to help me bake! But, bless her heart, she just can't do it without putting some in her mouth...

...another favorite thing to do is wash dishes!!! She gets her stool and will stand there for an hour and pour water from one cup to another and fill it back up again!

...she loves to read! We added a good bit to our book collection over Christmas and she is enjoying it!

...the moon and the sun are her current fascinations. We have to look for the moon every night. She doesn't particularly like it when the clouds have it covered up. She reminds us quite regularly that "da moon tums out at night time and da sun tums out at daytime!"

Take mine picture ib da moon, mommy!

Take bofe us picture ib da moon!

...we can FINALLY sit and watch a whole movie and loves to! We don't watch too much TV while I am home with her. Maybe Mickey Mouse or Sophia the First when we wake up and lay in the bed for a while, so getting to sit and watch a movie is a big treat for her! I have enjoyed getting to see all of the classics again, too! Re-living my childhood :) She especially loves Cinderella, Princess and the Frog, Lady and the Tramp and Tangled right now.

...she says the silliest things and makes the funniest facial expressions along with it. The other morning, I asked her if she would be mama's big helper and help me clean a little in the house and she looked at me with the most serious wrinkle-nosed face that she has and said, "No...not et....tuz mine not tawwer!" (Translation: No, not yet because I'm not taller). Have I mentioned that she is below the 5th percentile for both weight and height? I can you can use that to get away with whatever you can ;)

...stats in December at 30 months were 32 inches and 23 pounds, size 18 months. Her personality definitely makes up for her size, though :) And we love every single little inch and pound of her to PIECES!!!
