I have lots of Fall Fun-ness to post, but I don't have my camera card with me today, so I thought I would start with the pictures in my iPhone. I plugged it into my phone and realized that Carsyn has been taking LOTS of pictures lately. Ones that I didn't know about...You know, these kind...
Anyway, on to more important stuff...
I had a short conference down in Sandestin last week, so ZiZi thought that taking Carsyn and trying to potty train while she was corralled in a hotel room would be a fantastic idea! So, I got the panties and the pull ups and the "pize bucket" and we were set. And we did LOTS of this while we were there...she did great!:
And then we got home. And that wasn't fun anymore. So....we will try again later :)
The beach was absolutely gorgeous. Too bad it was chilly down there while we were there! Carsyn did get to go out during the day some while I was in class. The water was crystal clear!
And we did some shopping, of course! Carsyn is making quite the little shopper. It seems like just yesterday that she just wanted to get to those little tables that had the mix/match suits and rip those stickers off and throw them in the floor. Now she stacks them up neatly and says, "mine ooking pore me sumping to match."
We were in Carter's and she told me that she was "gonna ook pore er size, mama!" (I tried to tell her that she wasn't going to have much luck in there...)
We had to visit the "Minnie Mouse tore." I thought we would never come out...I think the ladies in there helping her were afraid of the same thing.
We had quiet the adventure in Old Navy. She kept asking ZiZi for more Ty babies (that were $5 each) and, of course, ZiZi kept piling them in her lap...that's what grandmothers do right? Then they make the mama take them away. Awesome. She had accumulated about 7 of them so I had to pull the whole "I'll grab the toys and you run with the stroller out the door before everyone in here witnesses her meltdown." Cause, you know, the first few seconds (long enough to get out of the door, or close, is silent...she hasn't been able to catch her breath to let out the first big scream yet. After we got in the car she said, "I want all doze monkeys! And mama take dem away bum me!!!" Mama of the year right there.
This weekend, we had special company with us all weekend! Ashley came home with me Friday after work and we so enjoyed having her!
Carsyn learned all about taking pictures using the webcam on the computer...
Saturday morning, we went up to the Christmas Market at MHS and she got a "buddy-py" on her face :)
We went out for a night of bowling with Josh, Vicki and Grace. She loved that!
During the first game, after cheering for herself and doing her dance after her turn, she kept going back to her "iddle seat," would pull up her pants and sit there...
Sunday morning, we introduced Ashley to one of our favorite breakfasts...hoecakes and chocolate syrup. Yes, she went home with the recipe. After church, we went over to David's mom and dad's and stuffed our guts with their delicious southern cooking then played kickball with the kids. Carsyn ended the visit with one more story time :)
Happy Wednesday!
