Have I ever mentioned that I love the beach? I just love it...there is no place like it! Fortunately, my sister-in-law, Vicki, does too. We have trained Grace to love it (which didn't take much work) and Carsyn was evidently born to love it....maybe it was the times that I went to the beach while I was pregnant, dug a hole in the sand and laid with my belly in the hole??? Maybe that got her accustomed to the sand before she ever got here!
Vicki and I are known to decide on the spur of the moment to head out for the day or part of the weekend. I was so excited when she said they were free to go this weekend! We headed out Saturday morning and spent half of the day at the beach and half of the day shopping. The girls were SO GOOD! I have to say...there are two different kind of beach trips...the relaxing ones and the not-so-relaxing-but-oh-so-much-fun ones. We had one of the later ones this weekend :) I don't think I ever laid down...or even pulled a towel out to sit down on! We just got down at the water and let the girls play and played with them.
When we thought that we would leave soon, we decided to walk down the beach. We got a little ways down to an empty spot and found the most PERFECT kid-friendly spot on the beach! It was a huge place that was about 3-4 inches deep...the water would move but the waves were never strong by the time they got there. I could just let Carsyn go and crawl around...which is EXACTLY what she wants! Vicki and I just sat down in the water and let them wear themselves out! It was a perfect day!

I should add...Carsyn took a step on the beach! Yes, the people behind me thought I was crazy when I went to screaming, but I couldn't help it :)
