I have been following the blog of an awesome lady, Jody Landers, who does lots of mission work in South Africa. She has a great story that you can check out here if you wish to.
I have always had a desire to do some kind of mission work, but can’t fit the traveling into my schedule. So, I thought this would be a perfect opportunity to do my part…to pick up my pebble! So, I took the opportunity and I ran with it!
You should really take a minute to read this post by Jody. She is collecting vitamins to send to the kids of Kroo Bay. The story will give you chills and really make you think about what we take for granted every day! Heartbreaking!
So...I sent an email to everyone in my office, my mama and a few friends. And guess what! It went from a project at my workplace and a few friends to a project at Pioneer, at my gym, Greenville Gymnastics, Sweet Home Baptist Church, CCA, the Greenville Middle School, Powersouth Energy and more! Wow!
So. Exciting.
Makes my heart smile :)
Today, I have collected 44 bottles of children's vitamins!!! That doesn't even include some of the other places participating!
I have a couple more weeks before I have to ship them off. If you feel led to help out, pick up a bottle of children's multivitamins while you are in town. It's the least we can do, right? I will be glad to add them to my shipment or you can ship them straight to Jody yourself. Again, see her blog post for much more information!
