She had 1 vaccination by mouth and 2 shots. It just breaks my heart to see those needles sink into those little fluffy thighs :( We were both big girls though. Yeah, she screamed...but she got over it pretty quickly! She had a wonderful time the rest of the day. She probably thinks that our house turned into the baby fair over night. Wednesday, I bought her an exersaucer and Aunt Casey put her Jenny Jump Up together yesterday...so, she is in heaven!!! She hasn't liked to lay down on her back or be in a reclined sitting position from the beginning...partly because of her reflux and partly because she just thinks she's a big girl and she likes to be UP. So, I just thought we would try the exersaucer. It is wonderful! I can actually put her in it and do some other activity (like wash dishes or switch out laundry) at the same time! That has not been very easy to do up to this point.
She started rolling from her tummy to her back between 2 and 3 months. The first several times, she would roll over when she woke up before making enough noise to wake us up and we kept missing it! Finally, I got to see it on 9/25 and I just happened to catch it on camera that time!
Recently, she is really discovering that she can control her voice...the harder she strains, the louder it gets. She has been talking a lot! We get so tickled listening to her. She knows that and it just makes her do it even more :)
She has been noticing her hands for a while now, but she starting to focus so much more on them and becoming more aware of her control of them. She can grab her pappy and if she grabs it just right, she can get it in her mouth! She can hold her bottle if she really wants to...she does that more for her Aunt Casey than she does for me?!?!
She has FINALLY decided that being in the car seat is NOT the end of the world. Mama's been able to keep her sanity because of this decision that she has made! I'm sure the medicine for the reflux has something to do with this...that or all of the praying that I have been doing.
There is absolutely nothing sweeter than waking up and coming home to her sweet smiles. Who ever knew that the love of your life would be 2 foot tall and bald headed?!?! There is absolutely no words or way to describe the way that we love her.
David and I both are still in awe at this little miracle that God has given us. Wow...what an honor to be parents. What a blessing to be entrusted by God with one of his children. We thank God every day for this gift and pray that we will be able to raise her in the way that he would want us to. We are soaking in every second of every day. I think it's safe to say that we love our lives more than ever right now!
