Some 20 month updates...

Carsyn is a hoot..a total goof...a HAM!!! I'm sure that I have laughed more in the last couple of months than I have in my entire life. From dancing and singing to trying to talk to doing gymnastics to picking up on little things that you would never have thought about, it is SO MUCH FUN to watch!!!

This is her after-she-decides-she-doesn't-want-pigtails look...a hot mess as Grace would say!

No, she doesn't still sit in the Bumbo chair...we had it out the night before for a visit from Halle (which was too much fun) and she hasn't let me put it up since...

We have one little problem. Carsyn has ONLY one tone. That tone is LOUD. Like screaming loud. We don't know what to do about it! I think she's just so excited that she can talk a little that she can't contain herself. I have no reason to believe that anything is wrong with her hearing...she never even cried quietly!

Her favorites cartoons are Dubba Duppies (Bubble Guppies), Dowa (Dora) and I-Ow (Mickey Mouse) {don't ask}. She has episodes of them on the iPad and she takes it almost every where she goes just to have it on...not necessarily to watch it. I ask her which one she wants to watch and she'll say  scream "Dubba Duppies! Dowa! Dubba Duppies! Dowa! Dowa! Dowa! Dubba Duppies! Dubba! Dubba! Duppie Dowa! Duppie Dowa!!!" I haven't exactly figured out how to fuse the two together but she would be in cartoon heaven if I could, I'm sure.

She loves putting her puzzles together over and over again. Fortunately she got about 12 of them for Christmas so we get a little bit of variety :)

We are still in 12 month clothes...I think I have said that before. She is finally able to wear a few 18 months things depending on the cut...I can say, for sure, that we will definitely be getting our money out of our 12 month clothes!

She is talking so, so much more but one wouldn't really think that if they are only around her a little bit because many, many of her words you only know if you are around her and can watch her...they aren't clear at all. Some are clear, but not all :)

  • PAAAY!!! means you better get down here on the ground and play with me!
  • "Bit-Bee" is Aunt Vicki and
  • PopPop sounds more like "Bock Bock" which is also a chicken and what the chicken says.
  • She loves to "ang" and "ide" which is to swing and slide. I also learned this weekend that "ang" also means to sing.
  • Tee-tee...that's pretty clear...especially when she has to go tee-tee 16 times in an hour. Well, try to tee-tee anyway. The tabs on the diapers only stick so many times...so we have had to invest in some Pull Ups :)
  • "Nowon" is another one...we hear that A LOT too...
  • Last post I think I mentioned that she picked up on "yes" and "okay" before she did "no." Well, Grace taught her all about "No No!" at her house the other night with the dog and kitten. It's now a staple in her vocabulary...and comes with the pointed finger and some KIND of eyes along with it!!!
It's finally gotten to the point that I can't really keep up with her words any more, but one of the other funny ones that she said the other day was "abbadies." That was the batteries :)

And "silly goose" is another one of her new favorites...

I had to take her to the doctor the other day...ear infections...so I got to spend the day with her. She only slept about 20 minutes in the car so she was tired that afternoon. She got the stroll and told me that we had to push. I said, "yes ma'am, at your service." It was raining outside. So...we pushed...from one end of the house to the other...over and over again...until this happened.

One of her favorite things to do is to "ite ite" (write) and she holds her pens and pencils like a little grown person. It's so cute! Her other favorite thing to do is to be naked. Problem is that when I let her go in only her diaper, she usually ends up snatching it off. So, we don't get to do that unless she is in just the right mood. So, she was a happy girl here :) I don't know why this picture is so sweet to me...it just is...
