She has just started to "realize" when she tee tees. I think she made the connection one night when I told her it was bath time and I took her clothes off, turned around to turn on the water and turned back around to find that she went ahead and pulled her diaper off. She knows she isn't supposed to mess with her diaper so, of course, she takes off full speed naked as a jay bird. She stopped in the living room to see how close I was and then she braced herself and made that face like she normally does when she messes up her diaper (uh oh!!!) and then a stream of tee tee shot straight out in from of her like a little boy! So, I started saying "No, Carsyn, don't tee tee in the living room! No, don't tee tee!!!" And she cut it off just like that! Ever since then, she says tee tee when she is tee teeing and then wants a dry diaper. Yesterday, ZiZi sent me a text message that said, “Carsyn is doing a good job on knowing when she tee tees. But running her hand down the back and pulling it out to “show” me that she needs a new diaper seems a bit over-zealous, you think?” Awesome.
Up until the last few weeks, usually she and I went to bed before David because he won't wake up when I tell him 17 times that we are going to bed...I guess the hardwood floor is more comfortable than the bed), but not lately. She tells me that she's ready to go get in the bed so we go climb in and if he is right behind us, she sits straight up, takes out the pappy and hollers "DADA" until he comes. She has better luck than I do. When she wakes up in the morning (and he's usually already gone except for Sundays), she sits up, pappy out and says "DADA?" It's just so sweet.
She LOVES shoes!
She likes to make sure that all of her babies have on shoes...(and, yes, you do see 3 bows in her head)
And she likes to make sure that anything that has hair has a bow...
When she runs her hands up under you, you know she is about to go to sleep!
She loves to pick out her own clothes and bows. She must love layers and she does NOT have my matching OCD-ness!!!
She likes to get herself in anything that there is a possibility that she can fit in.
She takes care of all of her babies! I guess she thought she needed to keep them contained...
Her favorite activities are to "ite-ite" aka write, to play with the play dough, to build her blocks and legos and play with her puzzles.
She loves her "big girl" table that ZiZi and PopPop gave her! It has "DO-WA" on it!!!
Nummy nummy = any kind of food, any kind of drink, "I'm hungry" or "that was yummy." She covers lots of ground with that one word.
She eats way more ranch dressing and jelly than she does food. Doesn't get that from her mama...
She rolls her eyes! You can't tell her to...she only does it at appropriate times. She doesn't get that from her mama either...
She turned her first flip by herself on the first day of the year!!!
She is still in 12 month clothes.
She is still in a size 3 shoe...not sure if we will ever get out of the "infant" stage of shoes.
She has started giving more and more un-asked-for hugs and kisses. Those are DEFINITELY the best!
Reeses Pieces are her happy pills (much less messy than m&m's!!) and Sprite is her happy juice :)
I am missing so many of her little quirks, I'm sure! But, these are the ones that stand out!
It's amazing at the changes that they make every single day! Watching her grow and learn is such a blessing....much more than I deserve.
