This morning, I was getting ready for work. As I always do, I left her in the bed while I was running around. (The bed = our king size mattress on the floor so that if she falls off, it can't hurt her). Typically she is still sleeping when I leave for work. Every once in a while she will wake up while I am still getting ready. She sits up in the bed and "hollers at me." I always blow dry my hair in the bathroom at the other end of the house just to try to keep from waking her up. So, this morning, I checked on her and she was sleeping good so I ran to the other end of the house and was drying my hair. After a couple of minutes, I knew I heard her cry out, but it sounded oddly loud...especially since I was hearing it so clearly over the blow dryer. I turned it off (with no worries that she had fallen off the bed and gotten hurt ;)) and stepped out the door and there she was :) Running...full force...to me.
I realize this is totally normal and not a big deal at all. But, it is the first time that it has happened. And, there was so much comfort in knowing that she knew that I was there and she knew how to get to me. She knows where the blow dryer is because she goes in there with me a lot when I am getting ready. She heard it and she knew right where to go to find me!
