Happy Birthday, Aunt Casey!

I have to confess...I have just been a little off all week for some reason. Just can't quite get my days straight! But, it's not all my fault!

I knew Casey's birthday would be February 3rd...just like it has been for years now. I had plans to pick her up a gift on my lunch break and to bake her a little something just for her the night before. I also knew that Casey and everybody else had said that Leigh was going to be induced on Casey's birthday. Neat.

So, I get to the gym Tuesday afternoon and mama says, "Well, tomorrow is Leigh's big day!"

"Right!" I said (out loud). In my head, I'm going, "Tomorrow? okay, somehow a day got away from me! I was going to use my lunch break to get a gift for Casey's birthday but I had a meeting today and couldn't do that...what was I thinking? I need to make her some brownies or something tonight to have for in the morning." I decided that I had just mis-planned everything.

So, I went home and we baked a chocolate cake with chocolate icing and put a pretty pink candle on it for Casey's birthday on Wednesday.

Which is NOT on Wednesday.

It's on Thursday...just like I thought to begin with.

Thank goodness I realized this before I started singing Happy Birthday on Wednesday morning!

See, it's not my fault! Nobody told me that they changed the day that they were inducing Leigh!!! Thanks a lot, mama :)

Oh well, I'm ahead of the game. I hid the cake and I don't have to bake it tonight!

Anyway!!! Happy Birthday, Casey! We love you! Hope you enjoyed your cake!
