Carsyn Funnies

I took a quick sneak at Carsyn's diaper and she snatched around with her little pointer finger and said, "NO! Not dirty. Now." And she says, "Tote baby. Now." My Mamaw used to finish her sentences with "now" when she really meant business. I guess that's why it's so funny to me :)

I think that the pictures of babies falling asleep in their highchairs are the cutest ever. I knew from the beginning that I would never be able to get that picture because Carsyn is way to interested in her food. We did come close though! She made it until 8:00 without a nap and was almost in her plate before David picked her up and she was out :)

One night she picked up David's phone and said, "Talk Grannie?" I told her that I didn't think Grannie was home right then. She said, "Oootay. Text Nannie!?"

One morning, I was going to send a picture of something to someone and when I went to attach it, I also found the reason that she was so incredibly content in her carseat the day before...

Since she learned "Happy Birthday," I've been getting her to tell different people happy birthday...over the phone, in a video or whatever works. We were trying to get her to tell "Unt-nee Tee-bee" (Uncle Stevie) last night and every time, she would say, "Oppy Birday tooo (snicker) Tahsyn!!!"

(This video is actually from her trying to tell Anna Blake happy birthday...which we finally did catch :))

She repeats everything we say now...and, of course, we slip sometimes. One night she stripped down and I said, "You little naked butt!" Now, she will go in another room and get her diaper and clothes off then come running by you saying, "Nake-nee butt! Nake-nee butt!!" One day we went to get gas and a car pulled up beside us and 4 boys piled out dressed the way they dress these days (you know what I’m talking about). One had his shorts sagging and no shirt on. David was pumping the gas and had the door open and she was in her car seat. She looked outside and said, “Ook, mama. Dat boy a nake-nee butt.” Awesome.

New favorite thing to do..."ashin dishes!"

David jokes that she has been watching me too much because she basically just totes her stool around wherever she goes so that she can reach whatever she might need :)

We can tell that her little imagination is really starting to grow. She took her baby doll out to the pea patch the other day and took her over to the peas and said, "Onna pick peas baby? Onna pick peas? Oootay. Otay." She also asked the Zhu Zhu pet pupply last night if she needed her diaper changed...

Officially my little fish :)

The other day, she was imitating the microwave beeping and she looked at ZiZi and said, "Laugh, ZiZi. Dat punny ight der!" Mama said it made her think of Larry the Cable Guy :)

Total goofball.

Her new default answer to anything is, "No. Not et" (That would be "not yet"). Carsyn, do you want to tee-tee on the potty like a big girl today? "No...Not et."

This week, I asked mama to help me "bow train" her because her hair is at the point that it drives me insane if it isn't out of her face. And I know that she will eventually leave her bows alone if you put it back in every time she takes it out. So, mama asked her to let her put the bow in after breakfast and Carsyn said, "No." And mama said, "but, Carsyn, we have to make mama happy!" She said otay. Later that morning, she pulled her shirt off and knocked her bow out and ran to ZiZi with it and said, "Here ZiZi! Make mama happy."

She's looking for Sleeping Beauty in case you need help understanding :) (She caught herself in the camera to begin with and is saying, "I want to see that. That's Carsyn!"

My little brother used to tell my mama that he was "smilin' seetly" at her when he really wanted something. Carsyn has this down pat...she looks at you in the midst of her mischievous and gives you the biggest grin ever and tilts her head and says, "Hey! Heyyy!"

I would be satisfied with just a wee bit of that energy...

There are so many of these little things that she does now...I need to do better at writing them down so I will remember them! I have so much catching up to do on the blog...more to come soon :)
